For Rizwan Hussain and his daughter Rania will Telenor Copenhagen Marathon 2019 be a special event.
The father daughter duo that hails from Pakistan, but living in Dubai, has previously experienced the world while running, and May 19th in Copenhagen will be another story to add to that resume.
That day they will toe the line with more than 12.000 other runners participating in the 40th anniversary of Telenor Copenhagen Marathon. This will be the first marathon for the father daughter duo. They have previously joined forces during long runs. At Ultraman Australia Rania joined her father for the last 47 kilometers of running. In Copenhagen they are looking for a great experience, but are also running for the greater good.
“Rania was born prematurely in week 34, 16 years ago, and she had rough start to life. It has also given her extra strength, and that strength she has used to train for the marathon in Copenhagen. I look forward to running together with my daughter, and together we would like to direct focus towards prematurely born babies and their families” says Rizwan Hussain, who together with his daughter can be recognized in their neon coloured clothes when they will complete the 42,195 kilometers at the Telenor Copenhagen Marathon.
Look out for the bright neon colours May 19th and cheer on Rizwan and Rania through the streets of Copenhagen.
